The Land Creator
Click on " Import your background image ".
A web page will open in your browser on the SIMILLAR portal.
Log in to your account using the same credentials you used in the application.
Access the web portal
In the " Background Map " tab of the web portal, click on " Access the terrain creator ".
Menu overview
The terrain creator consists of a map (1) , the editing menu (2) , and the search bar (3) .
The research
You can search for a postal address or a city in the search bar.
Click on a result to zoom in on that area.
The editing menu
The editing menu allows you to name your project, select the desired background, and generate your project .
The available plan backgrounds are as follows:
OSM Plan
A simple map with roads, buildings and place names, ideal for getting your bearings. Sourced from OpenStreetMap.
IGN Satellite
An aerial photograph, available for the entire territory, showing the terrain as it is. Taken from the IGN's ORTHO database. Limited to France.
PCRS Satellite
A highly detailed aerial photograph for spotting even the smallest details, available only for certain areas. If the image is white, the background is unavailable in that location. Source: IGN's PCRS. Restricted to France.
Select the field
To make a selection, you must create a selection rectangle .
Click once in a corner of the project, then extend the selection and click a second time to confirm the selection.
The " selected area " box shows the surface area of your land as well as the number of tiles used.
Once the selection is made, you can click on " Generate " to validate the project.
Request validated
Once your request has been validated, you can close the page. Your request is being processed on our servers.
You will receive an email when your plot is ready. The waiting time is approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
Email received
Once you receive the email, you can log in to the Simillar application to find your project.
